HEY! I'M NOT THE WORST ONE!

Most people feel that their predicament is always the worst one. No one else's problems are greater than their own. I don't think my problems are greater than some others, but my life to me is always far from my ideal. Somehow, the neighbour's grass always looks greener, that's for sure.

Went through a down period feeling pretty shitty and all. Not feeling the best now still, but after talking to my friend, it's eye-opening some of the problems that others have. It's one thing to read the papers daily about people who have all sorts of tragic things happen in lives. Well, it never hits you till you learn of someone you know having a really big problem. All they wanna do is to live life to the fullest while they can and not have any regrets in the end.

There's one thing in particular I wanna do, coz if i don't ever do it, I'll probably live to regret it next time. But should I? When things are in balance, they just shouldn't be tampered with, right? I remember PN once told me her experience and her advice. Was that a sign for this?

Haiz... I dunno. Right now i gtg take a shower and head on down to work. I'll think of this again when I have the time. It's time I made a decision. I'm sick of this. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

UNBELIEVABLE

It's pretty weird how life goes.

I hated (yes pretty much that bad) my friend for say 2 years? And now because of online gaming we are like pretty ok friends? I'll actually complain to him when I'm not happy about things? It's like so bizarre.... [RONG, if you're reading this, I actually chat with THE LORD??!!] He goes through weird phases where he's pretty nice for a period and then he's like the devil for a while again. Now he's back into the nice phase? Must set message like my friend, "why are guys so hard to fathom?". Can hear the guys saying ya right, we girls are the ones that are hard to fathom. oh well.... that's why books like "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" sell so well.

Weird sighting no. 2: Lian and Pirahna going to the ariport on Saturday for kopi. Another guy that pisses the hell of of me and I land up having kopi and chatting with him about certain personal stuff which I have only told 1 other friend about?! Think I'm nuts, seriously.

LOST (not in blue), but just LOST. Shall give myself one more year. If things happen, they happen. Kinda know things are not gonna turn out the way I hope they will but what the heck. I can dream, can't I? OK, never feel good when I come to this point so I shall stop. Feeling lousy again. Shall go to bed, my dreams turn out better, I think.

WOMBATMANIA!!

This is my 2nd favourite animal, after the horse. Isn't the wombat cute? Owwww.... Suddenly felt like looking for pictures of wombats. After all, this blog addres is wombat-angel. Fell in love with wombats during one of my trips to Australia. I have a collection of wombat stuff toys in various sizes, stacked up in my hall from biggest at the bottom and then they get smaller and smaller. I have one with pink ears which was the very first one i bought.

Found this website called Wombania which gives you info about wombats. Interestingly, Japan has a couple of wombats which were given to them during the Nagano Olympics by an Australian zoo. One of the wombat has died, though I'm not so sure about the remaining 2. Must make it a point to visit the zoo to see the wombats if I ever get to go to Nagano. FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD

Fish & Co. calamari and fish & rice. Love these to bits. Standard of the food there has improved so much! Come to the conclusion that in Singapore, eat Fish & Co., in Malaysia, eat Manhattan Fish Co. Singapore's Manhattan sux! Trust me...

Waraku's sukiyaki unlimited. Free flow vege and beef. Didn't realise they changed the promo from shabu shabu to sukiyaki till our order came with raw egg. Haha. Was wondering why the soup base was so much darker than usual. Still wonderful though.

Mini desserts from the buffet at the restaurant at Swissotel Westin. Plaza Market Cafe? Cute. Liked only the one on the right though. Not that big a fan on custard, which was what filled the right one.

Chicken wings (loads of small 'lil feathers) and cheese garlice bread from Lavendar Bistro at Jusco Tebrau City in JB. Taste was good but we had to pyscho ourselves to ignore the tiny feathers/hair on the wings. The plum soda is fantastic, just like in most cafes and restaurants in JB. Most importantly, the price is right. Heehee. Somehow cafes in Singapore just dun make it like they do.

BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN ~ 断背山

First of all, let me say that 3 aunties sitting next to me spoiled my viewing of the movie. From beginning to end they talked non-stop. And the comments they passed were like DUH.... They were like laughing at so many parts (yes, laughing!! At what though, I have no idea). Beginning the 2 lead actors were bringing sheep up the mountains, exclaimed "wa! so many sheep!". That wasn't so bad, till the next statement "sheep are very stupid animals, they just follow" came out. Like where in the world did that come from? SHUDDUP AND WATCH THE MOVIE ALREADY!!! See the scene where the 2 guys were making out, they were like "eeee". LIKE WHAT WERE THEY EXPECTING??!!! Gay movie?? R(A) rating?? HELLO AUNTIES!!! In fact, the scene was not all that graphic. Pretty dark and all... Last part of movie should have been touching, they laughed!!! I had tears in my eyes and they laughed??!! ARRGGGHHHHH!!!!!

Most of my friends warned me about the movie being slow-moving and even to the extent of boring... Basically I read the story first and well, like my friends said, a 30/40 something page story can drag for over 2h, you can imagine. Interesting story and well, closet gays like most in our Asian society (reminds me of how a few of me friends seem to be bordering between bi and gay. Think even they themselves are unsure.).

Wonder if the movie actually brought out the gay tendencies in Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal. Heard they're really close now and Heath Ledger has asked Jake Gyllenhaal to be the godpa of his kid. Kirsten Dunst used to complain how boring her boyfriend was, this oughta spice things up. Haha.

Pity Heath Ledger's character's wife in the movie. Well, that's the saddest thing that can happen to a woman, losing out to another guy. I kinda know how that feels. It's bad enough losing to another woman, but when it's another guy, what chance have you got at all?

Recommend this movie to those who haven't watched it yet. But if you're looking for something of a no-brainer, I've been strongly advised to watch "The Pink Panther". Just laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh.

TO THE 3 AUNTIES WHO WATCHED BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN AT PLAZA SING ON 1ST MARCH 2006, 645PM, SITTING AT SEATS L13-15, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY NEXT TIME. JUST GO WATCH NO-BRAINERS OK??
